The Official Instructions to Start a Super PAC
So you want to start a super PAC. Maybe youre worried that your vote doesnt really matter. Maybe youre tired of other super PACs raising and spending unlimited amounts of cash from corporations and unions to sway elections and youre asking yourself If you cant beat em, why not join em? Not a problem. Thanks to the U.S. Supreme Court and Citizens United, anyone can start a super PAC. And the best part: It doesnt cost a dime. Never mind the Steven Colbert super PACs Super Fun Pack, which hilariously offers prospective activists, All you need is a burning desire for civic engagement and $99. Heres how to start a super PAC. For free. Just by signing your John Hancock on a couple pieces of paper. Step 1: Pick a Cause or Candidate First things first. Your super PAC doesnt have to target a politician, though it certainly can. Restore Our Future Inc., for example, is the pro-Mitt Romney super PAC that spent considerable sums of cash in Election 2012 going after the former Massachusetts governors Republican opponents, including Rick Santorum. Your super PAC can raise awareness about a particular cause or issue such as hydraulic fracking, abortion, or taxes. Yours can be a liberal super PAC or a conservative super PAC. Got a burning desire for civic engagement, as Colbert would put it, on a particular topic? Go for it. Step 2: Pick a Clever Name for Your Super PAC Youll want to name your super PAC something catchy. Something people will be able to easily remember when they break out their checkbooks. Already taken are Joe Six PAC, a super PAC that proclaims it is for the average Joe; the Sick and Tired of Washington super PAC, whose goals seem pretty obvious; and DogPAC, a super PAC representing Dogs Against Romney. Step 3: Other Essentials for Starting Your Own Super PAC All you need to create and run your official super PAC now are a bank account, a charming personality to raise all that money from corporations and unions, and a friend to serve as treasurer to keep track of your super PACs fundraising and spending. Pick someone who is trustworthy and responsible. Theyll need to file spending reports with the government. Step 4: File the Paperwork To officially launch your super PAC you will need to file whats called a Statement of Organization, or Form 1, with the Federal Election Commission. Check box 5(f) under Type of Committee. Also, write a short cover letter to the Federal Election Commission. Youll want to be sure you make it clear your new committee will be functioning as a super PAC. You can do that by including the following paragraph verbatim: This committee intends to make unlimited independent expenditures, and consistent with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit decision in SpeechNow v. FEC, it therefore intends to raise funds in unlimited amounts. This committee will not use those funds to make contributions, whether direct, in-kind, or via coordinated communications, to federal candidates or committees. Make sure to include your Statement of Organization your name, address, contact information, and the name of your super PAC and its treasurer. Mail your form to: Federal Election Commission 999 E. St., NW Washington, D.C. 20463 Step 5: What To Do With Your Super PAC As the proud new owner of a super PAC, you are permitted to raise unlimited amounts of money from people including your friends, neighbors, and families. But you can also solicit money from political action committees, corporations, and labor organizations. You can turn around and use all that money to produce and air TV commercials or take out a massive billboard along a busy highway to roundly criticizes a politician you dont like. Have fun and be creative! A Note of Caution: What You Cant Do With Your Super PAC This is pretty simple. You are not allowed to use all that money youve raised from corporations and unions to make direct contributions to candidates or their political action committees. You also cant take out TV ads or billboards in coordination with any of those candidates or their PACs. This is a fairly gray area, so play it safe and steer clear of planning your attacks with any candidate or elected official.

Art and Science of Leadership Global Edition
Question: Discuss about the Art and Science of Leadership Global Edition. Answer: Introduction Leadership is the process which defines the role of the particular person and his or her behavior as well. Various kinds of leadership styles are having various natures which are applicable according to situation. Often, the main motto of the leader is to inspire their subordinates towards attaining the goals. The main action of leader is to analyze the situation and encourages their employees as per them. In this essay three roles will be discussing which will reflect the leadership style and behavior according to the role (AymanKorabik, 2010). Transformational, autocratic, democratic, effective, situational and cross cultural leadership will be discussing in the report. CEO Of Multinational Company CEO is the person who looks after all the activities of the company through delegating responsibilities to their workers. He is having higher authority to control the company. He is the person who responsible for the activities of the company. Leadership must be in the company to operate the business smoothly (Mckenna, 2015). The style of leadership is different for CEO because in multinational company numbers of employees do work. It is important to take concern of each employee so that working style can become comfortable. (Ward, 2016). For instance, Wesfarmers is the multinational company of Australia and Richard Goyder is CEO of the company. The number of employee in Wesfarmer is 220,000. The business of this company has been enhanced. Leadership style of this company is democratic. Democratic leadership is the leadership which allows to their employees to take suggestion in important decision of the company. It is totally centered on subordinate coordination. The delegation auth ority of this style is to delegate work as per the willingness, capacity and interest of the employees so that outcome can make huge amount itself. Democratic also known as the participative leadership. In this leadership style the CEO of the company do not bound their employees and encourages sharing their views, ideas and suggestion in the context of the company. Leaders encourage their subordinates to participate so that their hesitation can be reduced. It is possible to have the various styles of leadership. The words of Richard Goyder in his speech regarding leadership is one of my leadership lessons has been a remarkable correlation that the further a business is away from the head office, the better they perform! , by adding more words in his speech, he said that the leaders are not perfect. Perfection and imperfections are the most important part of the human being but the best leader take advantage of his own strength to reduce the weakness and create surrounding with high thinking people (Day Sammons, 2013). Multinational company is very wide so it would not be possible to the higher authority to provide guidance of each task to their employees. Due to lack of guidance, mistake can take place in the organization. That is why transactional leadership is also applying in multinational company. Transactional leadership refers to motivate their employees towards attaining the goal for the company with taking help of rewards and punishments. In the context of multinational company, one of the employee or group does work in the favor of company which makes sense of profits in the term of company. In that case CEO of the company rewards their employee through monetary terms or non-monetary terms. On the other hand if someone found guilty or did unfavorable task regarding company, the CEO of the company would be reliable to give punishment in the form of termination, deduction from the salary or warning letter. A sports coach Coaching is not only the responsibility of the sports coach. Coach need to follow various responsibilities. He encourages players to developing their full potential and trained them as per the requirements. Training which is given by the sports coach to their players should be analyzed, instructed and motivated. Every outdoor game need full of energy and it is necessary to train their players in that way so that they could not get harm or physical injury. In the context of leadership, the style of leadership of sports coach is Autocratic. Autocratic leadership style refers the empowerment of individual without getting involvement of their followers. Winning is the ultimate goal or achievement for the autocratic leaders. Autocratic leaders create strategy and rules as per their views and judgments and do not accept the guidance and suggestion of their followers. The style of autocratic leadership is very strict and in case of any sensitive player who performs not well can be turned of f by coach. The structure of rules and regulations are highly organized. Goals are being decided by the sports coach and the players have to follow all rules and responsibilities (Misasi, et. al., 2016). The feature of coaching type in this style is punishment frequently. Team coach is responsible of every activities of the players so he has to be very strict to provide them good coaching. Performance standards are being settled at high level. Apart from those all aspects, he tries to motivate them by giving prices as well. The role of coach is very complex. Two types of leadership are occurred in the coaching of players. One is successful leadership and another is effective leadership. Both are different from each other. Successful leadership defines the success of the coaching where coach is satisfied from the performance of players and the needs of the players are being neglected. Whereas, effective leadership refers the good relationship between players and coach and their need a nd suggestion is considered and welcomed by coach (Williams Krane, 2015). One of the dimensions of leadership coach is situational consideration which is based on the maturity level of the athlete. Situational consideration is based on the situational theory. Situational theory is introduced by organizational psychologist Paul Hersey and Kenneth Blanchard. This theory is consisting delegating, supporting, directing and coaching. Directing is the first step which consist the instruction and guidance to the athlete regarding performance. The next aspect is coaching which defines that the athletes are having higher competence levels but are not as committed. Supporting comes in the picture in the term of guidance. It should have the nature of temporary because it does happen when athletes are unable to understand and need urgent guidance. Delegating style is having the nature of low support and directive (Cox, 2012). Various game demands of various coaching and the style of leadership is differ from another one. It has been concluded that the reaction of coach should be depended on the demand of the situation and should consider the demand and need of the athlete (Anshel, 2012). As the old age home covered by old age people, it is the responsibility of the manager to maintain the dignity of the organization and follow the leadership style which enhance the productivity of the worker and bring the patience in them. The service of Aged care home is a kind of social service and the leadership style of aged care home should be transformational. Transformational leadership is different from other leadership. It is the kind of the leadership which encourages to bringing the changes in the organization and in an individual as well. The nature of transformational leaders is very supportive and they motivate their subordinates to accomplish a task. General ly, they have more satisfied employees and committed. Manager of an aged care home should be very cooperative and overseeing the activities of the workers (Nahavandi, 2016). The complete responsibility of the look after of the old people is on manager. Directing and supporting is the main part of leadership in which in case of any issue to complete the responsibility of task, manager need to give proper guidance to their sub-coordinator and support them to accomplish the task (Castle Decker, 2011). Cross cultural leadership is also seen in the aged care home beca use in aged care home many people are come from various cultures and it is the duty of the manager that the feelings and emotions could not get hurt by any activities. Cross cultural leadership is the behaviors which defines the working of management in various departments. On the other hand the manager of an aged care home is responsible for every activity that is why nature of the leader should be calm and understandable. The Downfall Of Macbeth Essays (1712 words) - Characters In Macbeth
The Downfall Of Macbeth Throughout the centuries human beings have always had the need to achieve some things in life such as love, wealth, power or authority. The ambition of Macbeth was power. Macbeths' strive for power affects his life in a negative way and eventually leads to his downfall. Macbeth was a brave soldier of Scotland and was very loyal to King Duncan. As he returned from a battle with his friend Banquo three witches hailed him as Thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and in the end King of Scotland. They also told Banquo that his children would become Kings. This aroused Macbeth's curiosity of how he could become King. When he went to the palace and the King announced to him that he would become Thane of Cawdor because the previous Thane was a traitor. His ambition rised and he believed that some truth might be hidden in the weird sisters' words. Therefore, he wrote a letter to his wife Lady Macbeth telling her what had happened. When Lady Macbeth read the letter her intention was to talk Macbeth into killing Duncan. Therefore, she planed the murder. She invited the King to their house where she planned to have him killed. Macbeth had some hesitations but she manipulated him into doing it. The murder took place at nighttime and short after the murder Macbeth fel t empowered and thought that nothing could stop him. Duncan's sons Malcom and Donalbain fled the country and one went to England and the other to Ireland. Macbeth asked for the witches advice and they told him that no woman born man could kill him and that only when Birnam Wood came up to the castle would he lose his power. In order to maintain his power Macbeth hired three murderers to kill Banquo and his son Fleance but they only managed to kill Banquo whereas Fleance escaped. Macbeth also killed Macduffs wife and son because according to him Macduff was a traitor. In the meantime, Malcom and Macduff were gathering an army in order to overthrow Macbeth. After the witches words Macbeth felt invincible whereas Lady Macbeth died, probably of guilt. In the end of the play, the army disguised itself with branches from the Birnam wood and marched to the castle where Macduff, who was ripped from his mother's womb, killed Macbeth and Malcom became King. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth is regarded as a good man and a brave soldier. When he comes back from the battle, the Captain described Macbeth's honor and bravery to King Duncan in Act I, scene 2. For brave Macbeth-well he deserves that name-Disdaining fortune, with his brandish'd steel, Which smoked with bloody execution, Like valour's minion carved out his passage Till he faced the slave, Which ne'er shook hands nor bade farewell to him Till he unseamed him from the nave to th' chops, And fixed his head upon our battlements?(Act 1, scene 2, line16-23). This shows that people, including the King trusted Macbeth and considered him as a brave, just, and honest soldier who loved his country. However, his character changes throughout the play in a negative way. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth appears to be happy and content as Thane of Glamis until he hears the witches prophesies. His ambition is reinforced when he is made Thane of Cawdor and he starts considering murdering King Duncan. He immediately writes to his wife in order to consult her. When Lady Macbeth reads the letter, we can understand that she considers Macbeth as too kind and soft to murder the King. As she says: ? Yet do I fear thy nature; It is too full o' the milk of human kindness To catch the nearest way.'(Act 1, Scene 5, line 13-15) This shows that in the beginning Macbeth was considered as to soft to commit this kind of crime. So, she talks him into her plan and they invite Duncan over for a banquet. Still, Macbeth has some reservations about the murder. As he says to his wife: ?He is here in double trust: First, as I am his kinsman and his subject, strong both against the deed; then, as his host, Who should

buy custom Life with and without Internet essay
buy custom Life with and without Internet essay Internet technologies broke into our life so quickly and steadily that we took them for granted not even thinking about the dramatic changes they would bring to our society. Without a doubt internet changed the quality of our life for better but nowadays most of us are aware of the negative consequences of the recent decades technology breakthrough. Many people remember their life without internet with nostalgia understanding that many things changed irretrievably. Present-day internet technologies made our lives much easier. Using internet we can study, communicate, shop, play games, and even work staying at home and it helps us save our time and resources significantly. We can get access to any information we need in a matter of seconds. But at the same time people become overloaded with big amounts of data which often turns out to be completely useless. So usually we spend our saved time ineffectively processing needless information and filtering it. Living without internet people spent much more time and resources on completing tasks which now seem for us so easy to do. They could get new information only from books, periodicals, television or cmmunicating with each other. All this required time and efforts. But that time was spent effectively. People got less information, but it was meaningful and useful. They made many efforts which are not necessary today, but those efforts made their lives more active and interesting. Internet created the illusion of easy communication. Indeed, anytime we want to reach anybody of our friends or relatives we can go online and easily get in touch with them. A lot of means of communication are at our disposal: writing instant messages and e-mails, making videocalls, sending files Of course, it helps us to be closer to those people who are far away, but at the same time we become estranged from our families and friends who live not a hundred miles away. Not so long ago when we could only dream of online communication we spent much more time with our friends and families, the relations were more sincere and lively. We didnt need such intermediaries as computer monitors to communicate with people, there were no artificial barriers between us and persons we were talking to. But the most dramatic changes internet brought to our way of thinking and nnot the way of living. People who got accustomed to internet acquire new information much easier, they can quickly switch from one topic to another, they are flexible and mobile. But at the same time they cant concentrate on something one, they are inattentive, they lost their ability to read long texts and to keep in mind some information for a long time - if they dont know something they always can find all the answers online, there is no need to keep everything in mind. When people didnt have internet at their disposal they were more concentrated on what they were actually interested in, they were more consistent and erudite as they didnt have such an easy and quick access to information so they had to remember everything. Not having had computers they could count only on their knowledge. As we can see, life with internet nowadays differs a lot from the life without World Wide Web as it was a couple of decades ago. Our world changes, lifestyle changes, people and their relations change. We have to accept all innovations to keep pace with time but let us look back at the past every once in a while in order not to loose all the good things we had before. Learning disability Nurse Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Learning disability Nurse - Essay Example It can also be a lifelong condition (Health Grades Inc, 2009) However, in 19th and 20th centuries, several institutions have been developed to address the health care needs of people with LD and this became the period of moral awakening in the area for better care and treatment for ââ¬Å"special personsâ⬠. In 1996, The UK National Health Service Executive formulated a sequence of markers for six (6) medium term priorities, in order to integrate the efforts among service providers, health authorities, general practitioners and regional offices (UK National Health Service Executive, 1996). Within the United Kingdom (Department of Health, 2001), the term ââ¬Å"mental handicapâ⬠was changed in the early 1990s; thereby calling it as the ââ¬Å"learning disabilitiesâ⬠and does not embrace specific learning difficulties like dyslexia, dyspraxia, as well as other related learning difficulties. The same term is used within nursing services. The said term is directly analogous to the terms ââ¬Å"intellectual disabilitiesâ⬠or â⠬Å"mental retardationâ⬠that is utilized in the United States of America.à In United Kingdom, community care is widely recognized as superior to that of the institutions (Emerson & Hatton 1994). Peopleââ¬â¢s support to learning disability is very strong and not only viewed as a professional activity for nurses. In fact, practitioners who are working within the UK learning disability services operate amidst a range of agencies such as public; not for profit; and the private institutions. The National Health Service (NHS), together with their nurses and social workers represent the public sector health care team. In particular, the institution was able to operate for several years according to team settings in the community. In the same manner, Community Mental Handicap Teams, in which name was replaced as Community Learning Disability Teams (McGrath & Humphreys 1988),
